Some 266 patients have been discharged at Lincolnshire hospitals after being treated for coronavirus.

This compares with 223 discharges almost two weeks ago and 55 on April 9, from the United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust (ULHT).

The discharge figures come as no deaths were reported from coronavirus-related conditions across Greater Lincolnshire yesterday.

The last time this happened was Friday and it is the third time this has happened in two weeks.

ULHT, which runs hospitals at Grantham, Boston, Lincoln and Louth, reported one death on Monday, bringing the total number of deaths at its hospitals to 126.

The Northern Lincolnshire and Goole Hospitals Trust also did not report any deaths yesterday.

So far across Greater Lincolnshire there have been a total of 278 coronavirus-related deaths across various trusts.

Across the UK, a further 545 deaths were reported, bringing the total to 35,341 yesterday.

The number of confirmed cases increased 2,412 to 248, 818.

Across England, the number of cases stands at 144,984, which gives a rate of 259 per 100,000 of population. Lincolnshire, according to figures released by Public Health England late yesterday, has 1043 confirmed cases, an increase of one on Monday. This gives the county a rate of 138.0 per 100,000, just over half the England average. Rutland remains on 32 cases, with its rate of 80.6 being the fourth best in the country for all the districts or lower tier level local authorities. Among the other districts, South Kesteven remains at 155 (109.3). North Kesteven remains on 131 (112.9). Melton increased one to 63 (123.3). Peterborough increased two to 371 confirmed cases (184.5). And South Holland remained at 198 (109.3). Additional reporting by BBC Local Democracy Reporting Scheme.
