Grantham's tip will be able to take more waste from Monday and even more different waste the following Monday.

Lincolnshire County Council has made the changes to its 11 Household Waste Recyclling Centres following a successful re-opening on Monday.

From Monday May 25, residents will be able to bring cardboard and glass to sites across the county, along with garden waste and wood.

And from Monday June 1, residents will also be able to bring electricals, scrap metal and black bagged household waste.

Cllr Eddy Poll, executive councillor for waste and recycling at Lincolnshire County Council said: "Residents had been in touch asking to bring extra items to the sites, so we've worked hard over the past week to make this possible.

"To use the sites, you must book a timeslot via www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/clickandtip or 01522 782070. Although there are a large number available, we will be releasing more slots on Tuesday 26 May."

Phone lines are open Monday – Friday 8am-6pm (closed Bank Holiday Monday).

Grantham's tip is in Mowbeck Way. The county council's other nearby tip is in Bourne on South Fen Road.
