A group of Grantham volunteers is calling for a stamp-ede of donations to help them support the vulnerable through the pandemic.
The Bhive CoViD-19 Grantham Volunteer Responders has issued a campaign to raise £7,000 so it can access a further £8,000 from South Kesteven District Council if it raises the money in less than two weeks time.
An appeal on the group's Facebook page said: "For just the cost of a postage stamp, you can make a world of difference to someone in your local community . A contribution of 70p can help provide an essential lifeline to a vulnerable person.
"If 10,000 people each pledged just 70p, that would mean the BHive.Community hub can continue to support those who are having to self-isolate because of their age or illness, including learning disabilities, sensory loss or physical disability. You can help by contributing and sharing this message.
"Our campaign to support local people during this pandemic has already been endorsed by South Kesteven District Council which has pledged £8,000. In order for us to be able to access that money, we need just over £7,000 in pledges to meet our target within the next 16 days."
Among the services Bhive volunteers are helping with , is a shopping and delivery service for those in self-isolation.
