One of the major highlights of the Grantham area music scene has been cancelled due to the coronavirus crisis.
Knipfest attracts bands from around the country and started off in Knipton in 2010 before moving to the North Kesteven Rugby Club in Woodnook three years ago.
The village festival was created in memory of Julie Copley of Grantham, who died of breast cancer aged 41 in 2010.
The charity fundraiser has grown to attract 2000 people a year and has over the years raised £160,000 for cancer research and local hospices.
Last year's event raised more than £25,000.
Phil Noon, one of the organisers, told Grantham Nub News he was 'very disappointed' the event had to be cancelled but Knipfest will be back 'bigger and better' next year.
"We left it as long as we could. It's a great shame. We will just have to get it bigger and better for next year."
"The government are not going to allow public gatherings. It's just not going to happen. We made a decision in February that we would make a definite decision in mid-May.
"Everything was in place. It was all organised but we also have to think about public safety. We are up against it really. We have taken a reluctant decision. It's extremely disappointing."
Phil continued: "We have generated interest for 11 years. This would have been the 12th. It's disappointing but the biggest losers are the charities.
"We gave Cancer Research £8,000-£9000 last year, which is £8,000-£9,000 they won't get this year."
He is urging people to donate to Cancer Research as an alternative to attending this year's event.
This year's July 4 Knipfest has been rescheduled for July 3 2021.
Phil said: "So look out next year!"
He added: "Everybody who has been involved for the 2020 festival has been really supportive and disappointed like we have.
"I know what it's like. I play in a band. We have had 20 gigs cancelled. Luckily, I don't rely on it for a living."
