Plan your NHS career journey at the Grantham Hospital Bus Station

By The Editor 11th Sep 2019

Patients, visitors and hospital staff are invited to 'climb on board' a double-decker bus with a difference when it pulls up outside Grantham Hospital next week.

The United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) Bus Station will be visiting the hospital to promote the range of benefits, development opportunities and career progression initiatives for prospective and current trust staff.

Visitors will be able to explore the fully fitted-out bus and chat to staff and colleagues from a host of different wards and departments across ULHT, including occupational health, organisational development, human resources and recruitment.

Saumya Hebbar, Organisational Development Lead at ULHT, said the event is a great opportunity for everyone to come and find out about what's on offer: "We have some truly inspirational staff who do a wonderful job at looking after our patients every day and we want to support them so they can be the very best at what they do.

"At ULHT we've got so many benefits and initiatives for staff to enjoy, but many might not know about them.

"The Bus Station is a great way of showcasing them all under one, moveable, roof and we'll be visiting all our hospital sites to see as many of our staff, patients and visitors as we can.

"We'd like everyone to get on board and find out what ULHT really has to offer."

Martin Rayson, Director of HR and Organisational Development, added: "The trust is committed to making ULHT a great place to work and receive care.

"All our staff are tremendously busy making sure people are well looked after. We want to bring information to them on the opportunities that exist in ULHT and what our offer to them is.

"The bus is also a place where we can listen and find out what more we can do to help our staff do the best job they can."

The ULHT Bus Station event at Grantham Hospital, near the Manthorpe Centre, is being held on Tuesday (17 Sept) from 10am to 4pm.
