By The Editor 22nd Sep 2019

Nine people have been arrested after a man was stabbed in Grantham on Saturday night.

A scenes of crime examination is taking place today at a house in Finkin Street where officers were called at around 10.35pm after reports of a man being seriously assaulted.

As a result, six women and three men aged between 28 and 52 were arrested for the offence of attempted murder. A 38-year-old man received a non-life-threatening stab wound to his abdomen.

Those arrested are being interviewed as the investigation continues, although Lincolnshire Police say at this stage the incident seems to have been restricted to the group of people who were arrested.

Anyone who saw the incident or knows anything about it is asked to contact Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting incident reference 581 of 21st September.
