Police have appealed for witnesses following a stabbing in Grantham on Saturday night.

Officers were called to a house in Finkin Street at around 10.35pm after reports of a man being seriously assaulted.

As a result, six women and three men aged between 28 and 52 were arrested for the offence of attempted murder. A 38-year-old man received a non-life-threatening stab wound to his abdomen.

Those arrested will be interviewed today (Sunday) as the investigation continues, although Lincolnshire Police say at this stage the incident seems to have been restricted to the group of people who were arrested.

Anyone who saw the incident or knows anything about it is asked to contact Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting incident reference 581 of 21st September.
