Local Elections 2021: Grantham South success for Conservatives

Grantham South has stayed Conservative in the Lincolnshire County Council elections.

Incumbent Adam Stokes won the seat for the Tories in 2017, taking the seat from Labour with a majority of just 13 votes.

However, the sitting district councillor for Grantham Springfield, who is the cabinet member for finance on SKDC and former Grantham mayor is back with a greatly increased majority.

Adam Stokes gained 984 votes, with Labour's Lee Steptoe, who is also a district councillor, coming second on 712.

Anne Gayfer of the Green Party is third on 346, with Independents Bruce Wells fourth on 122 and Louis Stead fifth on 38.
