I am the Conservative Party candidate for Grantham East.

My working life was spent in retail management and I am very much a people person .

I really enjoy helping people with issues and problems and doing things to make life better within the community.

I never like to let people down and will go that extra mile to achieve a good result.

I have been instrumental in getting three unmade roads on the Sunningdale Estate, made up to an adoptable standard.

Persevered for 7 years to get a result to stop parking on the verges on Keats Avenue outside of the convenience store and, most recently addressed the historical flooding issue on Harrowby Lane Hill, which has now been solved.

I attend and support the local Parish Council and love nothing more than being out on their patch as I am very much a country girl but, one who appreciates the facilities of our town.

Lincolnshire County Council is a well run Council and provides good or excellent services, like Children's services, as one example.

I have an excellent record of attendance at Council as I take my role as the representative seriously. I enjoy debate and scrutiny .

This is a local election and opposition parties often like to bash the government overlooking the positives that have been achieved locally, like keeping taxes low and investing in Schools and our exceptional Fire Service, not to mention dealing with the pandemic and finding extra funding for small businesses that were overlooked.

When the family moved to Grantham we felt blessed to have a Hospital down the road, as where we lived before, our nearest hospital was 14 miles away.

I am passionate that services and in particular that the A&E is retained here. My colleagues and I have been challenging ULHT for many years, both at Board meetings and at the LCC Health Scrutiny Committee.

I have also attended numerous consultations and meetings and written to the Government stating the case for the retention of services at Grantham Hospital.

There are moves afoot to address the traffic and parking issues in Grantham and the third stage of the Southern Relief Road is moving ever nearer, so we have progress.

I have had the privilege of holding several civic roles as well as being the Mayor of Grantham which at times made me smile, as people naturally assumed my husband had the role in spite of the obvious shiny chain.

I believe in equality for all and regardless of what education you receive, if you work hard you can achieve things in life.

At home I am very domesticated and enjoy cooking and keeping house as well as home decorating. I also like socialising with friends and family.

I pride myself in being available and responding to queries straight away whenever possible.

I actually live in the town and I am always out In the Division . I have achieved a lot but, I have more projects mapped out to follow through. I don't just talk about things, I actually get things done.
