Grantham GBH: Two arrested after teenager found with stab wound

Two men have been arrested in Grantham following the suspected stabbing of a teenager in the town last night.

Lincolnshire Police is now appealing for witnesses and information after the serious assault and a robbery.

Officers were called to the Thames Road junction with Goodliffe Road following a report of disorder last night.

Upon attendance, officers found a 16-year-old man with a stab wound.

He has been taken to hospital for treatment; his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Lincolnshire Police believe the incident took place between 8.30pm and 9pm.

Two 16-year-old males, both from Grantham, have been arrested on suspicion of GBH and robbery. They remain in police custody for questioning at this time.

Investigating officers believe a knife was used in the assault and the search for this weapon is still ongoing. They would like to hear from anyone who may have been in the area at the time and thinks they may have any information that could help the enquiry.

Furthermore, passing motorists with dashcams are asked to get in touch in case they captured any footage which may aid the investigation.
