UPDATE: Teenagers released on police bail following Grantham stabbing
Two teenagers have been released on police bail following the suspected stabbing of a 16-year-old in Grantham on Friday night.
Lincolnshire Police announced the move this morning as inquiries continue into the serious assault and a robbery.
Officers were called to the Thames Road junction with Goodliffe Road following a report of disorder on Friday.
Upon attendance, officers found a 16-year-old man with a stab wound.
He was taken to hospital for treatment; his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Lincolnshire Police report the incident took place between 8.30pm and 9pm on Friday.
Two 16-year-old males, both from Grantham, were arrested on suspicion of GBH and robbery. But as police have just announced, they were later released on police bail after questioning.
Investigating officers believe a knife was used in the assault and the search for this weapon is still ongoing. They would like to hear from anyone who may have been in the area at the time and thinks they may have any information that could help the enquiry.
Furthermore, passing motorists with dashcams are asked to get in touch in case they captured any footage which may aid the investigation.
