Grantham's take-away menu is getting bigger and better.

Last Thursday, the popular Wellies fish and chip shop opened in Springfield Road to much acclaim. Allison Wells, who owns the business with husband Dave, told Grantham Nub News, that their first weekend of trading went 'really well' with them fully booked every teatime. Already, most of this week's slots are booked, starting from tonight. And next week, Wellies plans to re-open from Monday to Wednesday, in addition to the current Thursday to Saturday service. Allison added: It will still just be click and collect for a while longer as we can only have a limited number of our team in at once. " Other fish and chip shops in Grantham are also trading. Either they re-opened earlier or they never closed. Those offering a delivery service, for example, include the Galaxy Fish Bar at 109 Hornsby Road. The Alma Park Fish Bar at 13 Alma Park Road is also trading, and offering a take away and delivery service. Ken's Chinese restaurant at 47 London Road also began offering food last week. The Everest curry house in Westgate re-opened for collection and delivery on May 1. On the Italian scene, Pinnochio's at 1-2 North Street is open, as is the Mona Lisa Pizzeria at 14 Castlegate.
  • Please check with the outlet concerned as to whether they are click and collect, deliver only, and whether they operate through JustEat only, etc.
