Grantham's popular and high-rated Everest Inn is re-opening today for take-aways and deliveries.
Head chef Dev Banda told Grantham Nub News the decision to re-open follows requests from customers.
He said: "Every day I receive 20-25 calls. People are really desperate. They say they weren't getting good quality in Grantham. They are requesting it."
The Everest Inn at 7 Westgate is a regular award winner and a TripAdvisor favourite, gaining 4.5 stars from customer reviewers and is currently rated 12 out of 95 restaurants in Grantham.
Dev says customers can order by phone or through the website but they must pay by card, not cash.
If deliveries are ordered, the driver will deliver to the door, ring the bell and leave the food on the step before stepping back to see the customer pick it up. The driver will not physically hand over the food to the customer.
For take-aways only one customer will be allowed into the restaurant at a time, who will then wait at the door for their meal.
Mr Banda said the full menu will be offered, subject to the availability of supplies. Already people have been making bookings.
He added: "Everybody says we are the best in Grantham."
