Coronavirus crisis: First Lincolnshire Hospitals death recorded in 22 days

United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust has confirmed its first COVID-19 related death in 22 days — the second this week in Greater Lincolnshire.

NHS statistics published on Thursday show the death registered on September 22, bringing ULHT's toll to 145.

It follow another death at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole Trust, which happened on September 21 and was reported on Tuesday.

National figures showed 30 new deaths in England's hospitals bringing the total to 29,838.

The latest data means there have been 270 hospital deaths across the whole of Greater Lincolnshire.

They include

145 at United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust (up one)

4 at Lincolnshire Community Health Service hospitals (no change)

1 at Lincolnshire Partnership Foundation Trust (no change)

120 in Northern Lincolnshire (NLAG) (no change) The trust, which operates hospitals has not revealed at which of its four hospitals- Grantham, Lincoln, Boston, Louth- the patient died in. However, Grantham is classed as a 'green' Covid-free site that does not treat Covid-19 patients.
