Coronavirus crisis: End of next week deadline in business support scheme

Businesses have until next Friday, June 12, to apply for government support if they 'missed out' before.

South Kesteven District Council this week began accepting applications on Monday.

Council leader Kelham Cooke said on twitter: "Today (Monday), we've launched our £1.54 million Local Authority Discretionary Grant Fund. This fund will help businesses that didn't receive previous business grants in response to Covid-19."

SKDC has already encouraged businesses to come forward for support under the scheme, in addition to it administering other government funding mechanisms.

The move comes as the district council is also offering support and guidance to businesses that are re-opening through its offshoot InvestSK.

InvestSK is also ecouraging South Kesteven businesses to look at the various government support schemes available.
