Coronavirus crisis: You'll soon be 'lovin it' at McDonald's in Grantham

Grantham's McDonald's looks set to be re-opening tomorrow.

As branches opened at Stamford and Bourne today, mask-wearing staff could be seen planning what is likely to be a very busy day.

This morning, the fast food giant opened another 500 drive-thrus across the country.

Opening at 11am, a limited menu will be offered, with many social-distancing measures in place.

But at Grantham, McDonald's crew could be seen staging a socially-distant meeting, cleaning liquids could be seen at some of the windows and I also saw bread buns through one of the windows.

Parked outside, a van added to the deliveries Grantham Nub News reported yesterday.

The McDonald's at Colsterworth is also set to re-open tomorrow.

The McDonald's at Glinton, near Market Deeping, opened last week.

McDonald's plans to have all its 924 drive-thrus open tomorrow.

And as for the junction of London Road and Bridge End Road in Grantham, with traffic already seemingly approaching pre-lockdown levels, one can only imagine what it will be like this time tomorrow.
