'Outstanding' Special Sergeant Lee Allen has received a long service award from Lincolnshire Police.

Lee has supported the local policing team in Grantham since 2009 and is described by the force as an 'outstanding' officer.

He's a familiar face in the town and regularly helps the local policing team at engagement events in the Grantham area.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: "Lee sets a precedent for all Special Constables not just for his outstanding commitment to the role and friendly persona but for his passion, enthusiasm, professionalism and dedication to Lincolnshire Police and the community of Grantham.

"Lee is a vital part of the Grantham team and the wider Lincolnshire Police family."
