The 2021 Grantham RotarySwimarathon has raised more than £11,000.

The two-day event, which was run by Grantham Rotary Club and took place on 26-27 June, saw over 400 swimmers take part.

In the end, the event raised over £11,000 for deserving charities and projects in and around Grantham.

Among the supporters were Galliford Try, the Grantham Southern Relief Road contractor who signed on as a corporate sponsor.

Roger Greaves, Grantham Rotary Club event organiser, said: "A big thank you to Galliford Try and all of our other corporate sponsors for helping us achieve such a great result."

Gino Salvatore, Liaison Manager for Galliford Try, said: "Supporting local fundraising events like Grantham's RotarySwimarathon is just one of the many ways we try to give back to local communities where we are carrying out major road improvements.

"We're delighted that to have supported this year's event and are even happier that it ended up raising over £11,000 for local charities."
