Forest staycation prize in South Kesteven lottery

By The Editor 6th Jul 2021

A luxury forest staycation could be on the cards for anyone with a LotterySK ticket thanks to the latest add-on offer in South Kesteven District Council's community lottery.

Any ticket purchased before the draw on 28 August is in with a chance of winning the holder a getaway break worth £1,000 with Forest Holidays.

The lottery bolt-on prize was announced on the same weekend as one lucky LotterySK ticket holder scooped £250 in the weekly draw,

Cllr Annie Mason, SKDC Cabinet Member for People and Safer Communities, said: "If anyone needed any further encouragement to support their favourite good cause, then this chance to win a luxury forest holiday is surely it. We have more than 100 great charities and organisations to choose from.

"It's also a great encouragement for any group to register if they have not already joined, giving supporters access to extremely attractive bolt on prizes. It is very easy to register, and LotterySK has proved a funding lifeline during lockdown.

"It's great to see another £250 win. LotterySK ticket holders have won tens of thousands of pounds over the last three years, which is just reward for all the support they continue to give to an incredible range of charities and organisations."

Nominated good causes receive 50p for every £1 ticket sold – more than twice the amount raised by the National Lottery – with the chance of a £25,000 top prize in the weekly draw.

Another 10p from each ticket sale goes to the SK Community Fund, meaning that 60% of each £1 ticket goes to support good causes in South Kesteven and every ticket has a one in 50 chance of winning.

To buy tickets, or register as a good cause, go to www.lotterysk.co.uk where there is also information and advice for groups wanting help on how to encourage ticket sales.
