More overnight road closures are planned on the A1 Grantham by-pass as progress continues on the town's Southern Relief Road.

In an update for July, Lincolnshire County Council says earthworks, drainage and piling are underway for Phase Three.

Phase Three is the final part of the road between the A52 at Somerby Hill to the B1174 Old Great North Road.

In the update, Lincolnshire County Council states the following:

Started out works to underside of new underpass

Began earthworks near the old underpass

Continued drainage and ducting works across the entire site

Commenced street lighting and signage installation across the entire site

This phase is between the A1 and the B1174. Phase 3 and the entire road Autumn 2021 is expected to be fully built/project complete in Winter 2023.
