Police launch arson investigation after car fires in Grantham

Police have launched an arson investigation after two cars were destroyed and another suffered minor damage in Grantham in the early hours of this morning (Fri).

Two fire crews from Grantham attended the incident outside Egglestone House block of flats, in Sandon Road, at about 1.30am and used two hose reels to put out the fires.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman told Grantham Nub News: "The incident was called in at 1.29am.

"On Sandon Road, two cars were burnt out and a further car had minor damage.

"No one was injured.

"We are treating this as arson and appealing for anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area to call us.

Anyone with information should contact Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting incident 11 of 24 January.
