Italian restaurant chain Prezzo has begun a phased re-opening of its outlets across England.

The re-openings started with an initial eight outlets on Saturday July 4.

This was followed by a phased opening featuring 27 other restaurants from that date until today.

Whilst Lincoln and Peterborough have formed part of this re-opening, as yet, there is no word when the Prezzo in Grantham will re-open.

Altogether, the company has 180 restaurants.

A statement from Prezzo only spoke of 35 re-openings for July, suggesting the rest of the chain's other outlets may not re-open until August, when the Chancellor's half-price 'eat out to help out' scheme starts.

Asked when the Prezzo's in Grantham and Stamford would re-open, a Prezzo spokesman told Nub News: "We don't have dates for those two restaurants yet, but as soon as we get an update with the planned dates we will let you know."

A range of social distancing measures are or will be in place at the restaurants, including making them cashless.

Yesterday, Pizza Hut told Nub News their Grantham restaurant would re-open in the 'coming weeks.'
