Grantham Town FC have announced the signing of Shane Benjamin from Hednesford Town.

The 38 year old has previously played for several clubs in the Midlands including Stourbridge, Shepshed Dynamo and Stafford Rangers.

More recently he has been at Stratford Town and Nuneaton.

Announcing the signing, Paul Rawden, manager of Evostik Northern Premier League Grantham Town, said: "We need points and we need goals.

"Shane has got goals wherever he's been. He scored in Hednesford's defeat to Warrington in February and he'll help Jordan Adebayo-Smith, Sam Grouse and Akee Francis."

The Gingerbreads also recently completed the loan signing of Callum Coyle from Solihull Moors.
