A teenager was arrested today in a Grantham supermarket car park as police continued their inquiries into a major disturbance in the town at the weekend.

In a statement issued this afternoon, Lincolnshire Police said the 18-year-old man was arrested at midday in Morrison's car park and is now in custody.

This latest arrest follows the arrests of three 19-year-old men yesterday, as previously reported by Nub News.

Two Grantham men and two Grantham women were also released with no further action yesterday

Of the other 7 arrests, from the incident on Saturday evening, two are from Grantham, three are from the London area and two from the Peterborough area. They have been released on bail while officers continue to investigate this incident.

As Nub News reported previously, armed police were called to deal with the disturbance, said to involve people with weapons, which started in Wyndham Park and ended in the Greyfriars area.
