A Grantham brewery has won a top award for its tap pub.
The Great Food Club Awards has declared the Marquis of Granby in the Vale of Belvoir village of Granby as its Classic Pub of the Year for 2020/21.
The Great Food Club said of the popular venue: "This compact, cosy and welcoming pub is the brewery tap for Brewster's Brewery of Grantham.
"There are no frills in this pub – that's not what the Marquis is about – but the beer is excellent and local, brewed by the talented Sara Barton and her team.
"The coffee from Nottingham's 200 Degrees roasters is also good, and the pizza van that parks up outside every Thursday is a welcome draw, too – you can bring your pizza inside to eat."
The club added: "The Marquis of Granby is an honest, down to earth and welcoming Vale of Belvoir boozer. It has an outdoor loo and an open coal fire – it's undoubtedly a classic!"
The Grantham area also has two other finalists in this category. they were The Geese & Fountain at Croxton Kerrial and The Blue Cow in South Witham.
The Brownlow Arms at Hough on the Hill was a finalist in the Casual Dining Restaurant of the Year category.
