Soccer star Jamie Vardy is seeking a two-storey extension to his farmhouse in a village south of Grantham.

Jamie and wife Rebekah have applied for planning consent from South Kesteven District Council concerning their home at Stainby, near Colsterworth.

The Sun newspaper has reported the extension will feature four extra bedrooms, giving them 12 in total.

The application, which has yet to be determined, follows the couple gaining approval for an extension last year, featuring an outdoor dining area.

The Vardy's bought the £2.5 million property several years ago.
