People are being encouraged to have their say on Grantham's Dysart Park in a consultation which opens today.

Running until 11 July, the survey includes questions on the general condition of the park, how safe people feel when they are there, and how satisfied they are with the facilities.

It also includes details of the improvements planned by South Kesteven District Council, scheduled to take place in the next few months. These include turning the area in the park previously used as a bowling green into a sports zone.

Cllr Dr Peter Moseley, SKDC Cabinet Member for Commercial and Operations, said: "By letting us know what you think of Dysart Park, and the improvements we are planning, as well as any other changes you think the Council should be considering, you will help to ensure that the park's facilities and items of historical interest are protected and preserved.

"It is also your opportunity to tell us whether you currently visit Dysart Park, and if you do, what you do whilst you're there.

"This will all help to illustrate a demand for the park and its facilities and contribute towards our application to secure green flag status.

"Please let us know your views and any other suggestions you might have for how the park might be improved. Thank you."

To take part, participants can either go online to https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/DYSART2021 or scan the QR code below using the camera on a smart phone attached.

Printed copies of the survey are also available from the Park Keeper in Dysart Park.
