A farm near Grantham hopes to remove 500 metres of hedgerow, saying the work will allow flood protection work.

Mrs Caroline Smith of RJS Farms Ltd White House Farm, Valley Lane, Long Bennington, says the work will allow dredging in a nearby ditch which would prevent future flooding.

The site, in the planning application to South Kesteven District Council, concerns land north of Bottesford Road, Allington.
