Man arrested following A1 Colsterworth collision

A man has been arrested in connection with a collision on the A1 at Colsterworth last week, where two police officers were injured.

The 37-year-old from Suffolk has been released under investigation.

Lincolnshire Police this afternoon also said the two officers have now been discharged from hospital and they would like to thank people for their messages of support.

Their statement continued: "We continue to investigate this collision and we would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this incident or any motorists with dashcam footage.

By calling 101, quoting incident 151 of November 25 or by emailing [email protected] As Nub News reported last week, at 11:23 am on Wednesday 25th November, a marked police vehicle was dealing with a report of a broken-down HGV on the A1. A second HGV then collided with the police vehicle, which resulted in the A1 at Colsterworth being closed in both directions for some time. The driver of the second HGV, which collided with the police car, suffered minor injuries during the collision and was taken to hospital. The driver of first HGV was uninjured.
