Coronavirus crisis: Grantham testing station opens

A new Covid-testing station has opened at Queen Elizabeth Park in Grantham.

The aim of the station is to improve access for local people, especially those who do not have a car and cannot travel long distances.

The facility began treating its first patients yesterday.

Previously, Meres Park Leisure Centre Centre would occasionally host testing facilities for several days at a time.

The centre in the Queen Elizabeth Park car park is targeted at helping only those with Coronavirus symptoms such as a fever, a new continuous cough, or a loss or change in sense of taste and smell.

If anyone suspects they may have it they should book a test immediately at www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test or call 119.
