Yesterday, as reported by Nub News , police appealed for witnesses following a 'serious assault' in Thames Road.
Initially, they were called to the address at 2.30am following reports of a disturbance, and then later officers were recalled to the same address where a man in his 30s had sustained a serious injury consistent with a knife wound.
He was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries, which are not life threatening.
Police said yesterday: "Due to the nature of the initial call police deployed firearms officers and dog units in armed response vehicles (ARVs), where we conducted a thorough search of the property and immediate surrounding area. No weapon was located."

An appeal for information was made, with people again asked to contact Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting incident 41 of 15th June.
