Jack McGovern will be back on the pitch for Grantham Town Football Club after being persuaded to make a welcome return.

Jack started last season with the Gingerbreads, making 26 League and Cup appearances and scoring four goals for the 2018-19 season, before retiring half way through.

He has been persuaded to return by Paul Rawden and Russ Cousins.

On signing, Jack said: "I've formed a good relationship with Paul and Russ, I didn't think of anything other than signing for this season. The Club have also supported me with my Kixx coaching. Training was really good tonight. We've signed some very experienced players who want to win. I'm hoping to see the Supporters with smiles on their faces this season." Paul Rawden added: "Jack is a great lad. He's very hardworking, he's got the experience of this level, he knows those around the Club, so we're delighted he's here again."
