A Grantham College animal management student is set to travel the world.

Laina Langridge attained top grades at the college, securing three starred distinctions in the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management.

She was accepted onto every course she applied for and opted to study Conservation Biology at the University of Exeter.

But before starting her course in September next year Laina has big plans.

She is embarking on a tour of the world, taking in exotic locations in Oceania, Asia and Africa, where she will be taking up a volunteering conservation placement at the Private Game Reserve in Zimbabwe.

Despite her ambitions, Laina was sure to acknowledge the Grantham College tutors who helped her along the way.

She said: "I am very thankful to the staff who taught me at college and helped me receive the mark I did. I am very excited to start university after I have been travelling."
