Grantham pubs on the market
At least two Grantham pubs are on the market.
RightBiz is listing The Castlegate as retailing for £620,000.
The premises in Castlegate closed for good in August due to social distancing and related restrictions imposed by the pandemic.
As Nub News previously reported, the venue was noted for its music scene.
Brothers John and Neil Cockcroft of The Castlegate had operated the popular venue after 33 years.
They described their career on social media as "a wild and wonderful ride."
RightBiz describes the former pub, which comes with two large flats, as "substantial and impressive premises" enjoying a "prominent position within Grantham."
The website added: "Versatile and spacious property potential for commercial or possible residential development."
A second Grantham pub is also on the market.
The Springfield Arms on Springfield Road has long been run by veteran publican Bob Taylor, with wife Liz.
The pub, situated opposite Wellies fish and chip shop, has been closed since March, not re-opening even when lockdown restrictions were lifted.
It is on the market for £250,000 and is described as 'well presented' by UKBusinessesForSale.com.
The website commented: "Our client has owned the business for many years and chooses to trade on wet sales alone. Huge potential to introduce a food trade and to add 6 letting bedrooms within the existing first floor areas."
It added: "There is a well presented, comfortably furnished lounge bar and separate public bar capable of providing a dining area, both situated to the ground floor with ladies and gentlemen's WCs serving both areas.
"A broad staircase provides access to 6 rooms situated on the first floor which are readily capable of providing letting accommodation. Outside of the property is a timber decked seating terrace and lawned garden trading area."
