Grantham Police: Woman suffers facial injuries in town dog attack

A woman has been bitten in the face by a large back dog in Grantham.

Lincolnshire Police is appealing for information which happened around 6.30am yesterday (Saturday May 16).

The woman, aged in her 30s, was walking along Harrow Street near to the River Witham at the back of Sainsbury's.

It was at this point that she was approached by a large black dog that did not appear to be with anyone which bit her on the face. This resulted in multiple lacerations on her face that required stitches.

Lincolnshire Police would like to hear from anyone who knows who the dog belongs to or anyone who saw the incident take place.
