A woman has reportedly suffered a robbery in Grantham.

Lincolnshire Police say the incident happened at around 8am on Friday 1st May.

A police statement issued tonight said a woman in her 20s was walking down an alleyway between Uplands Drive and Harrowby Lane with her two-year-old son when she was stopped by two white males.

It continued: "One of them has demanded money from her and assaulted her by punching her to the face. She received minor injuries.

"The offenders have then made off on foot down the alleyway towards Uplands Drive with a handful of loose change that they stole from her.

"Two males, aged 16 and 18, have been arrested in connection with this incident and released under investigation."

Police said: "We would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this incident or anyone who may have any information that can assist with our investigation."
