Grantham Pizza hut closure confirmed

The closure of Grantham's Pizza Hut has been confirmed.

Restaurant chain bosses have today supplied a list of the outlets to close.

A 'company voluntary arrangement' has been formed to prevent the collapse of the entire chain.

Altogether some 29 outlets are affected nationally, with Pizza Hit and other restaurant chains badly hit by the pandemic.

As Nub News recently reported , the closure follows Pizza Express not re-opening in Grantham, as part of a similar arrangement for its chain.

Grantham also lost its take-away outlet in Watergate earlier this year.

No date has been given for the closure of the restaurant at Manors Arm, on the corner of London Road and Springfield Road.

A Pizza Hut Restaurants spokesperson said, "We are doing everything we can to redeploy our team members from our Pizza Hut Restaurants locations that are closing and minimise the impact to our workforce.

"We are therefore unable to share exact job loss numbers for each Hut. We understand this is a difficult time for everyone involved and are supporting our team members as much as possible throughout this transition."
