Grantham man to stand trial for series of offences

A Grantham man will stand trial next month for a series of offences committed in both his home town and Sleaford.
Thirty-nine-year-old Alan Davidson, of Barrowby Road, appeared at Lincoln Magistrates' Court yesterday (Tues).
He was charged following a robbery in Sleaford which took place at around 8am on Sunday (1 Sept) at Worrell Newsagents, Southgate.
Davidson was also charged with a further five offences committed over two days:
- A burglary on Thomas Street, Sleaford, on Sunday (1 Sept)
- A theft on Barrowby Road, Grantham, on Monday (2 Sept)
- One count of fraud, on Barrowby Road, Grantham, also on Monday.
- A burglary at Costa Coffee, Southgate Shopping Centre, Sleaford, on Monday (2 Sept)
- An attempted burglary at Rose Cottage Dental Practice, West Banks, Sleaford, on Monday (2 Sept)
Following his appearance at magistrates' court, Davidson was remanded into custody.
He is due to appear at Lincoln Crown Court, for trial, on 7 October.
