Exciting infrastructure works at Londonthorpe Woods in Grantham will get underway this month as part of a major partnership involving the Woodland trust and the National Trust.

The Reconnecting Grantham partnership project will include a much-needed upgrade to the Londonthorpe car park, the installation of a circular accessible track around Londonthorpe Wood and a new cycle route that will help connect Grantham town centre to the site.

Through the duration of the capital works, Londonthorpe Woods and Bellmount will remain open to the public, with sections closed for the construction works and diversions put in place.

The car park will be closed between the September and November of this year. Alternative parking can be found at Bellmount car park, further along Five Gates Lane.

For safety reasons people are asked to avoid parking on the roadside verge to allow for full access for the workforce.
