Grantham Lions is about to begin its annual touring Santa fundraiser, though the first night on Friday had to be cancelled for insurance reasons.

Now the charity will begin Santa's sleighride tomorrow (Monday) night when Father Christmas visits the St Andrews area.

Grantham Lions Club said of Facebook: "The Santa sleigh is one of our biggest fundraising events."

"We need to raise as much money as possible to enable us to keep supporting all the local causes who need our help during the year."

Earlier this month, when announcing the route, Grantham Lions commented: "We are pleased to confirm our Sleigh will be touring this year but we must ALL observe Tier 3 Covid Regulations."

They include:

No door knocking so anyone wishing to donate should attract the attention of one of Santa's Helpers

Observing the rule of 6 outside so people are asked not to gather in crowds and to stay 2M apart.

The volunteers have to keep moving so there will be no photo opportunities or letters to Santa.

Unfortunately they cannot visit everywhere and but planned routes can be seen below, which will be updated on the Grantham Lions Facebook page.
