A Grantham care home is fundraising to create a memorial garden to the residents it lost through the pandemic.

Gregory's House is based in Welby Gardens and operated by Orders of the St John Trust is registered for 32 residents.

Care worker Lisa Lawlor has created a JustGiving Page to help with the appeal.

Some £3000 is sought but to date only £145 has been pledged.

Lisa said: "In the past year, Gregory House was sadly affected by Covid-19.

"To help all of us with the healing process we want to create something wonderful that will act as a memorial to those who passed away, a place for remembrance of the lovely characters they were and somewhere that is peaceful for residents and colleagues to reflect.

"We hope to commission or purchase individual items that represent each member of our extended family.

"We will be holding a remembrance event for family and friends to share our memories where we hope to bring some comfort and celebrate their lives.

"To raise this money, on 10 June 2021, wearing 1980's fancy dress, Home Manager, Anna Lewkowicz and some of her fantastic team endeavor to dance for a full 24-hours to a playlist created with some of the residents and team members favourite tunes."
