Coronavirus crisis: When will Grantham's Pizza Hut re-open?

Local News by The Editor 16th Jul 2020

The Pizza Hut in Grantham is set to re-open after closing 'temporarily' due to the pandemic.

However, bosses at the fasting dining restaurant are as yet unable to give a definitive opening date.

The restaurant located on The Manors Arm, London Road, cuts a lonely figure, with barely a light on inside and the outside car park looking somewhat untidy.

As other nearby fast food retailers re-open, including McDonald's over the road, plus KFC and Burger King at the other end of Springfield Road, what is happening to Pizza Hut, one of the few of Grantham's major restaurant chains still to re-open?

A Pizza Hut spokesperson told Nub News: "We can confirm that our Grantham Hut is temporarily closed due to the phased reopening of our Huts in light of Covid-19. We expect the Hut to open in the coming weeks.

"As the health and safety of our customers and our team remains our top priority, we will be encouraging people to book ahead and we are designing our dining areas to ensure there is the required space between guests for social distancing."

A spokesperson added they would give Nub News a more definitive opening day when they had more information.
