Lincolnshire Police has announced it is closing its police station front desks (Town Enquiry Offices) at Grantham and other locations.
There will be just two exceptions- South Park, Lincoln and Boston.
The other stations will close after Wednesday but will all stay fully operational as it is only the front counter service that is changing. Both Boston and Lincoln South Park will remain open and people can check opening times at: www.lincs.police.uk/contact/police-stations
A police statement said: "These are difficult decisions in difficult times but made with the upmost concern for the safety of the public and our staff whilst making sure we continue to deliver our service in the most effective way.
"With two stations open, it means that there is an opportunity to attend if you absolutely need to."
The statement continued: "By making these closures, we are able to minimise the risk to the public and our staff by reducing communal spaces. We are here for you – closing these stations allows us to fulfil that duty in the most efficient and effective way.
"You can call us on 101 (or 999 in an emergency) but please do check our website as your query might be answered by the information provided there.
"Please be reassured that these closures are for public safety, and we are still able to provide full provision of all police services across the county."
It added: "Thank you for your ongoing support. We know this is a county that always pulls together in testing times and we are proud to police it. Please continue to follow the Government guidance.
"Stay home, stay safe."
