Grantham's KFC is back open!

The popular fast-food chain re-opened its branch on the corner of Springfield Road and Harlaxton Road at noon today.

The re-opening is part of a phased process of re-openings by the company, which comes on the day other ventures re-opened including garden centres and golf courses.

Grantham Nub News was among the first customers, who were lined up waiting for the lunchtime re-opening at the drive-thru.

The restaurant remains closed as do the adjoining Burger King and Costa in the corner fast food development.

Staff guided the cars in as a course was made to allow for any extra queuing traffic. The car park was used for this purpose.

You drove up as normal, but you were told the menu was limited.

But many of the colonels' favourites, like fried chicken, fries and Pepsi Max were there.

You ordered, paid by card, and then picked up your chicken as before, with the staff wearing masks as part of the safety measures.

And you drove home, as normal.

A tasty lunch was enjoyed and after a break of nearly two months since all the KFCs closed, it was especially finger licking good!
