A Grantham butchers shop has reopened today to popular acclaim.

Customers were upset recently when Watkins in 'wide' Westgate closed for two weeks after Christmas when one of its bakers tested positive for Coronavirus.

Other staff had to self-isolate so the retailer decided to close to help keep them and customers safe, as previously reported by Nub News.

The shop posted on social media last night: "WE'RE BACK!

"We are very pleased to be reopening on Monday morning at 6am.

"We will be continuing our very popular home delivery service, please call 01476 563622 to book a delivery slot.

"Thank you all for your patience and understanding, we are looking forward to seeing everyone."

Customers were very happy at the news.

Phillipa Paulette said: "Thank you for keeping your staff and your customers safe. Welcome back. Xxx"

Ann Gilbert said: "Missed you and pleased for you all "

And Lel MacGregor commented: "You'll make a lot of people very happy now you're back open x Hope you're all well and ready for the rush x."
