Another collision has taken place at a notorious accident blackspot on the A1 north of Grantham.

The collision took place before at the Toll Bar junction at Marston.

The A1 was closed in both directions and diversions put in place.

Police blocked the road at its junction with the A52 to the south and at Long Bennington to the north.

Chief Inspector Phil Vickers of Lincolnshire Police posted a video on twitter and said there were 'injuries.'

Lincolnshire Police also said on twitter around 10.20am: "We are dealing with a serious collision between a van and a car on the A1 near Gonerby Moor. This was reported at 5.43am this morning. The investigation is continuing and diversions are in place. If you saw the collision please call 101 with reference 64 of today."

AA Roadwatch has warned of 'severe delays'.

An accident occurred in the same area only last month, as previously reported by Nub News.
