Arrests follow A1 crash involving HGV and car near Grantham

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, following a collision on the A1 last night.

The collision was reported at 6:09pm last night (October 28) on the A1, Great North Rd, Colsterworth.

Lincolnshire Police said today: "This was between 2 cars - a silver Peugeot and an HGV.

"The driver of the Peugeot sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital, but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. The driver and passenger of the HGV were uninjured.

"The driver and passenger from the HGV, both men, aged 27, have been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and remain in custody."

Anyone who can help police with their inquiries are asked to call Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting incident 367 of October 28.

The road was closed at around 7pm and re-opened shortly after midnight.
