Grantham council flats plan at former radio station studio

Plans have been submitted for four council flats to be created in the former home of GravityFM radio station.

South Kesteven District Council wants to convert New Lodge on Riverside Walk into four one-bed flats for temporary accommodation.

It also seeks to demolish existing garages nearby.

The council bought the vacant premises, which once contained the GravityFM radio station, in November.

GravityFM is now based at The Old Exchange on the Springfield Business Park.

The planning application, to itself, says the development will add to the council's housing stock and there is a need for temporary and single unit accommodation.
