Customers welcome news of return of much-loved Grantham restaurant

A much loved and missed Grantham restaurant has announced its return.

The Siam Garden Thai Restaurant off London Road has been closed since March, due to the pandemic, leaving legions of fans going hungry for their top-rated Thai food.

The restaurant had earlier announced plans to re-open around the start of October, but this was delayed for undisclosed reasons.

But this afternoon, the popular venue revealed a new opening date, along with a possible reason why.

In a statement issued on Facebook this afternoon, the restaurant said: "We are back

"We are delighted to announce that Siam Garden Restaurant will be opening our doors on this Friday 16th October (under new owner with same management and team members) in both lunch and evening services, including take away (collection only). ðŸ™

"To cerebrate our opening, new exciting menu is a must! We have created a wide selections of children menu for your liitle ones to explore our delicious Thai food, 3 course meal for just £6.50!!ðŸ›ðŸðŸ¨

"Other exciting new menus will be announced shortly including our new opening times so please keep a look out for them

"Booking is essential to secure your table, to make a reservation please call 01476576383 or message us on Facebook. ï¸"

The message added: "Thank you for your continued support."

Customers of the popular venue have already expressed delight at the news.

Karen Clarke said: "Fab news! Looking forward to seeing you soon for lunch. Missed you very much. New menu too, very exciting "

Jacqui Hoyland said: "That is excellent news, you can assume a booking for Saturday lunchtime for 3 at 1 o'clock (not asked the other 2 yet, but already know the answer )."

Lee Houghton also posted on Facebook: "Excellent News!"
