Grantham Town boss Paul Rawden has brought in an experienced international player to bolster the squad and his coaching team.

Francois Zoko has joined the club as player/first team coach, as well as taking up a Football in the Community role.

Francois is an Ivory Coast youth international who started his career in France, with spells in Belgium and Turkey, before moving to England in 2010.

He has garnered a wealth of football league experience, either as a winger or striker.

His previous clubs include Carlisle United, Notts County, Blackpool, Bradford City and, most recently, Yeovil Town.

Joint manager Paul Rawden said: "Francois will be a great asset to the club, both on and off the pitch.

"His professionalism and knowledge will really benefit the younger players in the squad. I'm delighted!"

As a consequence of the new arrival, Adam Smith will be moving up to player/assistant manager.

Francois will be available for selection for tomorrow's (Sat) game against Radcliffe.
